Every Tuesday, I will review the Yahoo! Pick of the Week and let you know why you should or shouldn’t spend your hard earned money on renting or owning the movie.  This week’s pick:

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Ok, I’m not gonna lie, I was at the midnight showing of this, wearing my Decepticons shirt with my bro-in-law.  We were both so excited to see this movie because the first one was so amazing.  He thought it was awesome, I was left underwhelmed.  Bad acting, over-the-top effects, annoying characters (racist robots), and ridiculous scenes (teleporting to Egypt, like that’s anymore unbelievable than fighting robots from outer space).  Apart from three fight scenes in the beginning, middle, and end, the movie was boring.  Trim it down by 45 minutes, spend a little more time rehearsing, and consult the NAACP before using stereotypes as new robots, and maybe I’ll see this again.  Final Grade: C+

If you absolutely love the Transformers movies, go ahead and purchase it.  Hopefully the third one will be better and justify this crap sandwich.  If you are a casual movie goer, skip this one and rent a season of Mad Men or 30 Rock to bide your time until next Tuesday.
